A quick background, we all know that RFR from a microwave
oven heats food. The thermal effect is well established. The
controversy over this issue is due to the belief of many
scientists and governments that RFR can only have a heating
effect and our exposure standards protect us from this
heating, therefore they claim that it is perfectly safe to
have RFR emitting devices in our bedrooms and next to our
schools.
Why do they say this? Speculation is that it has to do with
the money.
Just as the tobacco industry was able to suppress science,
the telecommunications industry suppresses science. They
fund studies that find no results. They marginalize the
researchers in the field who do find harmful effects.

This massive industry had combined revenues of more than
$3.85 trillion in 2008. In 2007 the U.S. telecommunications
industry spent almost $250 million on political lobbying.
Over the past decade, they have spent a grand total of
nearly $2.4 billion. Over 242,130 antenna sites have already
been approved nationwide without any federal studies to
assure safety of those living nearby.
